Steps to Get Your Real Estate License
In Canada all Realtors must be licensed to trade in real estate. In Ontario the Real Estate Council of Ontario enforces the rules and requirements that real estate Brokers and real estate representatives must follow.
What are steps to become a licensed REALTOR in Ontario?
There are three steps you must follow:
Step 1: Successfully complete your registration education requirements. From September 16th 2019 the provider of real estate licensing courses is Humber College.
Step 2: Register with RECO by submitting your application to the licensing body, RECO in Ontario with an offer of employment by a brokerage such as EXIT Excel Realty.
Step 3: Purchase insurance coverage
In Ontario you must be 18 years of age, be a resident of Canada and you must meet all of the requirements for registration such as a Canadian criminal records check.
